There are some BIG changes making waves here at Helping Hounds and I wanted to write a short post about the amazing things happening this year! We are thrilled to now be serving a larger area than ever before, expanding into St. Louis city and south of I-40. We have a brand new Puppy Preschool (for puppies ages 8-16 weeks) to provide safe, appropriate socialization and experiences to puppies of all breeds.
Not only have we expanded our services and service area, we have welcomed new team members and we couldn’t be happier! I’d like you all to meet our new trainers, Michelle Charboneau and Amy Mitchell. You can read their complete bios which include their experience and qualifications by clicking on their names or pictures.
Michelle is teaching group classes and working with dogs involved in our Play N Learn and Stay N Learn programs at K9 Kabana.
Amy is working with private clients and has allowed Helping Hounds to extend our service area further south and east!
We are looking forward to expanding our team even more in the very near future by welcoming another experienced trainer, Shirley Thoreson, who will teach group classes as well. As we look toward the future we are hoping to add a new location for group classes and will keep you posted, of course, as we pursue that goal. We will continue to offer classes at K9 Kabana and remain dedicated to providing our clients with the very highest standard of professional training.
On a more personal note, it amazes me to think that a scant four years ago I decided to make my passion my livelihood and jump into training full time. Now, I have a thriving business with several wonderful employees. I’ve been blessed with fantastic relationships with amazing clients and colleagues. I have learned so much and have grown in my expertise and education (which I continually pursue). It is astounding and I never, ever want to take it for granted. I am surrounded by incredible people and am so privileged to know and work with them. I have been so blessed and I am thankful every single day for the life I get to live. I look forward to tomorrow and beyond with such hope and gratitude….I can’t wait to see what happens next.
